Our complaints procedure

We want to provide a high standard of service. If something has gone wrong, please tell us so that we can investigate it and, where appropriate, put matters right. Making a complaint will not affect how we handle your matter and there is no charge for using our complaints procedure.

How to complain to us

Please set out what you are unhappy about, the matter or service concerned, and what you would like us to do to resolve it. You can write to the Principal, Paris Theodorou, at Christodoulos Ltd, The Barbon Buildings, 14 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4QH, or email info@theodorous.com.

What happens next

  1. We will acknowledge the complaint and make sure it is recorded and considered by an appropriate person.
  2. We may ask you for further information where that is needed to understand the complaint fully.
  3. We will investigate the issues raised, review the relevant file and speak to the people involved where appropriate.
  4. We will explain our conclusions and any steps we propose to take. We aim to deal with complaints promptly and fairly. In any event, you may take a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman if we have not resolved it within eight weeks.

Legal Ombudsman

If you are a client and remain dissatisfied with our final response, or eight weeks have passed since you complained to us without the matter being resolved, you may be able to ask the Legal Ombudsman to consider the complaint. The Legal Ombudsman deals with complaints about the service provided by lawyers.

Generally, a complaint must be referred to the Legal Ombudsman within one year of the act or omission complained about, or within one year of when you should reasonably have known there was cause for complaint. If we send you a final response that properly signposts the Legal Ombudsman, you must ordinarily also refer the complaint within six months of that final response. The Ombudsman may extend time limits in exceptional circumstances.

Legal Ombudsman: PO Box 6167, Slough, SL1 0EH. Telephone 0300 555 0333. Website: legalombudsman.org.uk.

Solicitors Regulation Authority

The Solicitors Regulation Authority does not normally deal with complaints about poor service or bills. It can consider concerns about professional conduct, such as dishonesty, misuse of client money or serious breaches of its rules. Information about reporting a concern is available at sra.org.uk/report.

Our commitment

Complaints are handled fairly, without charge and without discrimination. We use complaints as an opportunity to identify whether changes to our systems, communication or service are required.

This procedure was reviewed on 15 September 2026.
